Submissions:
FreezeRay is a mostly quarterly publication.
We will always post our deadlines on the bottom of this page. All else is explained in between here and there...
Our next project will be the e-book THAT'S WHAT SHE READ, a poetry anthology based on The Office!

This call is specifically for poems based on the television series The Office or specifically, about the antics that occurred at Dunder-Mifflin Scranton between 2005-2012.* Talk to us about The Dinner Party! Regale us with a Mose Schrute POV banger! Speculate on what became of Robert California!
We're accepting 1-3 poems in one doc, docx or pdf file. Unlike our journal, these are not blind entries so feel free to include a short 2-3 sentence bio with your submission.
We are accepting previously published work for this anthology, so if that's the case, please let us know where and when your work was first published.
Best of luck and we're looking forward to seeing you in our inbox (That'sWhatSheSaid)!

FREEZERAY POETRY the journal is currently on hiatus. We do not have a set return date but please follow our social media for info on future submissions. Our general guidelines are detailed below.
SUBJECT MATTER is simply anything to do with pop culture. TV, movies, comic books, video games, music...we're keeping this pretty broad because we geek out on everything and we keep it nerd real like that.
Pop culture is a lot of things; entertainment, allegory, engaging speculative fiction. But for many of us, it is also coping mechanism. We want to hear how you interact with pop culture and how it interacts with you. Dedicated to poems about this nerd life since 2014.
We also suggest if you're a first-time reader/submitter to check out our wonderfully geeky archive of past issues to see what we're all about!
POETRY: FreezeRay accepts previously unpublished work about pop culture (and yes, that includes stuff on your blog/Facebook page/etc). If we do accept a poem that's up at one of your personal social media sites, we ask you to take it down from that site before publication. We will accept 1-5 poems, submitted in one .doc or .pdf file.
IMPORTANT: Please do not put your name on the submission or in the doc title, as we will be reading these blind.
If we receive a submission with any personal information in the document or the the doc title, we will not read it and you will be automatically rejected.
VISUAL ART: We are not taking art submissions at this time.
--------
SIMULTANEOUS SUBMISSIONS are encouraged; we just ask that if you need to withdraw a poem or poems because of acceptance elsewhere, send a notice to freezeraypoetry@gmail.com. If you send a submission to this e-mail, it will not be read.
LEGAL STUFF AND MONEY STUFF:
1. We cannot pay you at this time, except with love and respect.
2. FreezeRay retains First Time Internet rights for all published works. All other rights revert to the author.
3. If a piece of yours is reprinted elsewhere, please give proper credit to FreezeRay for being the visionaries to first publish it. No, really.
We are currently on hiatus but will return, bigger, better, faster, stronger. Onward.
